Solar Assembly Plant for Africa Ltd was established in August 2007 inline with the Uganda government's rural electrification programme. Our main goal is to avail solar accessories at affordable and wholesale prices to the rural poor who have no access to grid electricity. Our vision is to assemble good quality solar panels, charge controllers, DC-AC Inverters and solar lanterns such that the end-user prices are reduced by over and above 35%. As of today, we have been able to install 100 one-light solar systems in the Western parts of Uganda (Kabale and Mbarara) in partnership with Solar Energy Uganda Ltd, a retail company that performs installation and maintenance of Solar energy systems.
